About the Artist - Bill Hitchcock

All of the artwork on display throughout the gym is by painter (and my father-in-law) Bill Hitchcock.  Bill is an extremely prolific artist of natural and abstract subject matter. His paintings are remarkable for their joyful and unrestrained use of color, often with their subjects outlined in black for even more emphasis.   Bill grew up in Los Gatos and earned an MFA at UC Santa Barbara.  He now splits his time between growing Christmas trees in Oregon and surfing in Hawaii, with intermittent spells on California’s North Coast.  I hope you enjoy his work as much as I do!

This is the first in our series of rotating art exhibits.  Expect a new exhibit every couple of months.

Please help me put a call out to artists in our midst or in the local community.  I’m looking for paintings, photography, textiles, or mixed media for our next display – either as a solo show for one artist, or using individual pieces from various artists.
