Slow it Down with Chi Flow

One of our newest class offerings turns out to be the latest trend in fitness! Our Chi Flow class is based on the principles of Qigong, a traditional Chinese practice based on restoring the body's energy balance through breathing, self-massage and gentle movement. The New York Times recently wrote about Qigong:

"The face of exercise is changing in America. Instead of relentlessly pursuing a sculptured physique, people are chasing longevity, stress reduction and improved health through mind-body practices like qigong... Practitioners say that qigong helps alleviate joint and muscle aches, increases energy and deepens their breathing... Qigong devotees report better sleep, less anxiety and increased energy." Chi Flow is gentle and meditative, energetic rather than muscular like yoga. It is appropriate for people of all levels of fitness, and can be beneficial for people with injuries and health challenges. Chi Flow is taught by the calm, confident and lovely Robin Ehrlich, an acupuncturist and well-versed practitioner of this Chinese healing art.

Chi Flow is currently offered at Inside Outside Fitness on Tuesday mornings from 6:45 to 7:30 am, and is a great way to become awakened & invigorated for the day ahead!
